The annual meeting assembles finance researchers for an intensive program of research discussions. In his plenary presentation, Felix Kubler reviewed the research agenda he will pursue with researchers at the University of Zurich. A graduate of prestigious Yale University in the United States, Kubler uses computational methods to understand a range of finance fields for which traditional analytical methods are not available, including complex questions in risk sharing and portfolio choice.
Gerzensee 2008 is organized by the center for financial valuation and risk management (FinRisk); the research partner of the Swiss Finance Institute. During the 2 day meeting, June 2-3, researchers presented results on such themes as personal and institutional investments, reducing risks associated with securitized debt and strategies for companies considering an initial public offering.

"We would like to extend a warm welcome to Felix and his much anticipated research contributions in Zurich," said Danthine.
