What: MOLI, a next-generation social media/social commerce site where members control their privacy, announced today the launch of the public beta of its social media/social commerce site in Germany during the DMMK conference (German Multimedia Congress) in Berlin. MOLI, which launched publicly in the U.S. in January this year, and which operates public beta sites in the U.K. and Ireland, has received positive feedback and praise from its members, site visitors and the media. According to Alexa, the leading website ranking expert, MOLI’s traffic ranking has improved from the 94,920th most visited website in December 2007 to 1,919th at the end of May 2008. Since the public launch, MOLI has also seen a tremendous increase in unique visitors, which grew from 290,000 in December 2007 to over 23 million according to Doubleclick’s DART® for Publishers system. This strong growth can be attributed to the site’s social commerce offering, its greater privacy controls, and its original professionally-created content.
