Thanks to EnergyWatch Inc., a New York-based utility rate consulting firm, BuildingsNY will be made carbon neutral. Carbon emissions generated by the show, including attendee travel related emissions and venue electricity, will be offset by EnergyWatch via renewable energy credits and carbon offsets sourced from 3Degrees. The renewable energy credits and carbon offsets will be derived from a blend of resources; wind, biomass, landfill gas, geothermal and agricultural methane capture.

We are happy to support entities willing to embrace a ‘green’ sustainable attitude,” said Jay Raphaelson, President of EnergyWatch.
EnergyWatch is an innovative, full service utility rate consulting firm.

EnergyWatch launched the Graduate to Green program mid 2007 along with the firm’s expansion to national energy procurement services. The program assists manufacturers, property owners and their tenants with obtaining quality renewable energy credits.

BuildingsNY is the event of choice for the metropolitan New York building community. Through state-of-the-art educational sessions, new product previews and sponsorship from some of the leading buildings and facilities associations, BuildingsNY provides nearly 10,000 industry professionals with easy access to the products and services for any building and facility, all accessible with an investment of two days at the conveniently located Jacob Javits Convention Center.

BuildingsNY is officially sponsored by The Associated Builders and Owners of Greater New York and is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council.

BuildingsNY is part of Reed Exhibitions’ portfolio of Security and Life Safety events, which include physical and IT security; real estate, and life safety events.
