Unlike many industry awards, the field for each category was wide open -- voters weren’t presented a narrow list of nominees. The choices were up to players, and a large number of different games received votes.
The winners are:
• Favorite new collectible game: Halo ActionClix, WizKids;
• Favorite new collectible game expansion: Legend of the Five Rings, Alderac Entertainment Group;
• Favorite new miniatures game: Halo ActionClix, WizKids;
• Favorite new card game: Munchkin Cthulhu, Steve Jackson Games;
• Favorite new board game: Last Night on Earth, Flying Frog Productions;
• Favorite new role-playing game: Legend of the Five Rings, Emerald Empire, Aldreac Entertainment Group;
• Favorite new electronic game: Halo 3, Microsoft.
