RaboDirect, part of the Rabobank group Europe's largest online bank, has been awarded the Marketing Team of the Year accolade at the annual All Ireland Marketing (AIM) Awards which took place on Thursday 22nd May at Dublin's City West Hotel.
The prestigious AIM Awards programme is run by the Marketing Institute of Ireland to recognise the success of top marketing professionals nationwide. The Marketing Team of the Year Award was presented to RaboDirect in acknowledgement of their successful implementation of the integrated marketing campaign 'Boot Camp' which effectively targeted SSIA maturations in 2007.
Commenting on the win, Greg McAweeney, General Manager at RaboDirect said, "We have a small dedicated marketing team at RaboDirect compared to our competitors, but through our self belief, motivation and creative approach we develop marketing campaigns that influence how marketing is conducted in our market. The marketing team seek to ensure that all marketing activity reinforces our brand values and our commitment to offering simple, transparent products. In an increasingly competitive marketing industry, this award is testament to the team's commitment to driving our message of great value without the financial jargon."
The Marketing Team at RaboDirect consists of Aoife Mahon, Offline Marketing Manager; Martin O'Leary, Online Marketing Manager and Gina McCrudden, Investment Marketing Manager.
RaboDirect.ie launched in May 2005. It remains Ireland's first and only dedicated online bank and is part of the AAA ratedRabobank Group.
