St. Simons Island, Georgia is home to a new luxury boutique hotel, Ocean Lodge. The intimate, 15-suite retreat provides guests a new choice in upscale, private accommodations. The luxury boutique hotel, located at 935 Beachview Drive, was designed to connect with its ocean facing location by providing optimal views from each suite. Under construction for close to five years, the property opened to the public as of April 1, 2008.
Ocean Lodge contains 14 suites and one penthouse across 40,000 square feet. Accommodations boast spacious suites with 750 square feet, with a choice of a single or double veranda. Each unit is meticulously and uniquely decorated, offering a selection of accommodations with character and individual charm. Suites range in price from $395 to $795 per night (depending on the season) and $995 per night for the spacious, fifth-floor penthouse.
The boutique hotel has over 14,000 square feet of common areas for guest to enjoy, including a state-of-the-art fitness center, business center, dining room and lounge, and executive boardroom. Common areas allow for intimate gatherings including bridal luncheons, corporate meetings, or alumni functions.
Amenities include complimentary valet; private butler services; complimentary sit-down breakfasts; private lounges, business center and boardroom; high speed Internet with options for in-room courtesy use of laptops, printers, and fax machines; and luxurious extras such as 100% Turkish towels, microfiber robes, and 500-count Egyptian cotton linens.
The hotel’s trademark will be immaculate service with a concentration toward executive meetings, elegant weddings, and upscale social events. Ocean Lodge caters to executives and mature clientele looking for relaxation and refinement, as guests 13 and under are only permitted for weddings and special events. The luxury boutique hotel can accommodate 325 guests for weddings and special engagements and offers premier catering services.
