RMS Networks, the Internet-based, digital media and marketing company that develops, manages and delivers the most relevant video advertising segments to millions of consumers daily, has promoted Steven A. Palasay, CPA, to Chief Financial Officer from Director of Financial Operations & Corporate Controller. Palasay will report directly to Jason Kates, the company’s CEO.
“Since his arrival in 2004, Steven has been critical to the financial workings of RMS, essentially handling responsibilities similar to those of both a CFO and general counsel,” said Jason Kates, CEO and founder of RMS Networks. “He’s a proven, capable professional and a trusted advisor.”
Palasay will continue to oversee such tasks as budgeting, audit and shareholder reporting, financial and systems management, all human resources functions, oversight of the company’s compensation and benefits programs, preparation of financial forecasts and projections to raise working capital, and various other responsibilities.
Palasay has held key positions at several Fortune 500 corporations and major regional employers. He was accounting manager with billion-dollar vehicle rental company ANC Rental Corporation in Boca Raton, overseeing $275 million in rental and concession payments at over 200 on- and off-airport locations both foreign and domestic for the Alamo Rent-A-Car and National Car Rental brands. He also was with Deloitte & Touche; Embraer Aircraft Corporation, the Brazilian aircraft manufacturer; Prosodie Interactive, a telecommunications services provider; and Discovery Zone, the former children’s entertainment division of Blockbuster Entertainment.
