Top performers from diverse fields ranging from automation, electronics, energy and power systems to aerospace, defence and environmental and building technologies will be honoured at the event.
This much anticipated and highly competitive Awards Banquet recognised companies for innovative developments, outstanding performances and business achievements – in essence, for establishing best practice standards that competitors are striving to emulate.
Among Europe's industry leaders who will be commended at the Banquet are SEW-EURODRIVE, ELUTIONS, DSM Engineering Plastics B.V., ChipSensors Ltd., Ansaldo Fuel Cells, MOBOTIX AG, KONGSBERG, Elan Software Systems, Ansaldo Energia, InduSoft, BAE Systems Hägglunds, Bioni CS GmbH, Imbera Electronics, Rockwell Automation and ABB Group.
Awards were presented for technology and product innovation, excellence in research, exceptional competitive strategy and overall market leadership. Trail blazers from power plants, electric drives, electronic chip packaging, pharmaceutical manufacturing execution systems, CCTV and video surveillance, turret mounted weapons and process enhanced engineering plastics sectors were lauded for their accomplishments.

Mike Lomax, Sales Manager BRC, Bosch Rexroth, delivered a topical keynote presentation, highlighting pride in being associated with Best Practices demonstrated across this spectrum of Industries. Mr. Lomax commented "We represent 16 world class companies who all are receiving awards for excellence. The direct result of that combined excellence has enabled the people here to contribute to combined sales between us of over €70b/year. Many of us here are engineers or scientists who take great pride in our technical achievements. However due to the everyday work we do not often enough congratulate ourselves in a formal way for the superb products and services we provide to our customers. This evening is a chance to do that."
The event began with a champagne welcoming reception, followed by the Awards Ceremony integrated with Dinner. The evening was capped with after dinner drinks.
