TSM Associates, a specialty medical products and services marketing and consulting firm located in Fair Oaks, California, has been signed to represent Info-Surge’s full line of web-based patient education products and services. TSM will be concentrating its sales and marketing efforts to physicians and surgical practices in Northern California, Washington, Oregon, Nevada and Arizona.
TSM Associates was founded in 1989 by Mr. Tom Minero and has represented numerous medical products and services such as the T-wave Alternans cardiac diagnostic system for non-invasive detection of persons at risk of ventricular arrhythmias and sudden cardiac death, and the Therapeutic Apheresis (RheoTherapy) treatment for “dry” Age-Related Macular Degeneration. Mr. Minero has an extensive background in the health care field including experience in marketing products such as physiologic multi-channel recording systems, computerized cardiac and pulmonary testing systems, internal surgical stapling devices, general medical/surgical supplies, and instruments and health care financial management software. More recently, Mr. Minero assumed responsibilities of sales, marketing, and business development for AMA Optics, Inc., a manufacturer of diagnostic testing instrumentation for ophthalmology. He served in both the US Army and US Air force reserves.
Commenting on the news, Mr. Minero, president of TSM Associates, stated: “Having dealt with physicians for virtually my entire career, I understand the issues they face on a daily basis. Surgical practices must negotiate new challenges such as HIPPA regulations, changes in insurance practices, declining reimbursement rates, increasing competition, and the need to market their services. I feel that Info-Surge provides solutions to many of these problems.”
