CheckPoint HR, LLC, an innovator and leading Administrative Service Organization (ASO) that offers small- to mid-size organizations an integrated Human Resource Management System (HRMS) for payroll services, human resources, and benefits administration, today announced it has completed the Statement on Auditing Standards No. 70 (SAS 70) Type II certification. Through this certification process, CheckPoint HR’s technology platform and processes adhere to strict industry-standards, verified by an independent auditor. This certification provides customers with assurance that their data is managed and compliant within industry best practices.
“Due to regulatory standards and guidelines, such as Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, CheckPoint HR’s customers need the capability to embed an internal control structure into all of their content providers and transactional services,” said Neil Friedman, CFO, CheckPoint HR. “We are continuously focused on providing customers with the means to maintain compliance by building in such processes within our technology platform. The SAS 70 Type II recertification is one of many validation standards that reinforce our operating policies and procedures.”
The SAS 70 Type II audit was performed through meticulous reviews and tests of CheckPoint HR’s operational procedures and controls by leading Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA). Developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the SAS 70 examines a service organization’s in-depth audit of its control objectives and activities. The SEC's Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 requires publicly held companies to submit proof that their service providers have measures in place to ensure a secure and stable environment for their data. It also evaluates procedures critical to the processing of vast quantities of information, including the exchange of information such as compensation and employee data.
“Completing the SAS 70 Type II further reinforces CheckPoint HR’s commitment to providing its customers with the highest quality of standards,” said Ivonne Natal, Senior Vice President of HR for the American Stock Exchange. “Compliance is of utmost importance and we are pleased to work with a partner like CheckPoint HR who understands the value and importance of these standards.”
"The security, privacy and sensitivity of customer data is our highest priority and successful completion of this audit illustrates our commitment to delivering industry-standard technology solutions and services,” Michael Gorker, CIO and CSO, CheckPoint HR. “We are proud to validate and assure our customers that their highly sensitive compensation and employee data is protected by the highest standards."
