Austin's mistress of urban folk is rounding out a Northeast tour in her hometown of Annapolis this week. Erin Ivey brings her angelic voice and notorious stage banter to 49 West Coffeehouse on the heels of winning a finalist spot in Austin's "Top Unsigned Artist" competition.
The sultry singer-songwriter also recently received rave reviews from syndicated Hollywood gossip columnist Perez Hilton, who called Ivey's music "sweet folk pop reminiscent of Soko and Yael Naim." With fans and journalists singing her praises, Ivey has released 2 EPs and 1 full-length album in the past year, performing for audiences nationwide. Her latest release, the Sweet Little EP, is dipped in operatic and country-western influences, but completely centered around the voice that prompted one journalist to write, "I would kill for a purr like that." Come grab a drink with a friend and settle in to a rare cozy performance by an irresistible artist.
