The Jimmy V Celebrity Golf Classic, a premier celebrity golf fundraiser for The V Foundation for Cancer Research, is proud to announce that Continental Airlines will serve as the 2008 Exclusive Airline Partner for the fifteenth annual tournament. This year’s event will take place at the world famous Pinehurst Resort in Pinehurst, N.C. on August 10, 2008
As the official airline, Continental will provide airline travel for all out of town celebrities and guests at a discounted rate. In addition to providing air-fare, Continental is also providing travel packages as auction items for the event’s annual V Gala auction. This marks the second year of Continental’s involvement in The Classic.
Through Continental’s participation, the Golf Classic is able to bring in celebrities from the West Coast that they otherwise could not afford to have. “It is so refreshing to work with an airline that time and time again asks what more they can do to make the tournament bigger and better,” said Marketing Director Anna Jackson.
“The Golf Classic weekend is filled with hope and enthusiasm for supporting a cause that has affected everyone's hearts," said Anthony Williams, Continental Airlines Sales Manager. “We are honored to participate in this great event.”
Each year, the Jimmy V Celebrity Golf Classic brings together more than 65 celebrities, 70 local and national sponsors, and over 500 volunteers to raise money for cancer research. This year sponsors and celebrities will play golf on Pinehurst’s famous Courses No 1, No 2, and, No 4.To find out more about the Jimmy V Celebrity Golf Classic and how you can get involved, call 919-319-0441.
