Americana Community Bank (ACB) has introduced Name Your Own Account, a special account designed to help customers save money for a specific purchase goal.
Name Your Own Account encourages individuals to decide what they wish to save for, such as a new boat, a vacation or holiday gifts, and set aside money each month in this special account until enough money has been saved to make the desired purchase. As an added feature, throughout the saving process, Americana Community Bank will e-mail savings reminders to account holders, helping to encourage them to meet their savings goals.
Americana Community Bank recognizes that the slowing economy is impacting individuals’ spending habits, and has created Name Your Own Account in an effort to encourage consumers to save before spending. The process of saving money provides individuals with time to think about and analyze their purchase before making a decision, helping to reduce impulsive spending and the use of credit cards for large purchases.
“We want to make it both fun and easy for our customers to save,” said Al Obernolte, president of Americana Community Bank. “Saving for a family vacation, a new television or a boat can be an enjoyable experience for the entire family.”
Americana Community Bank is promoting Name Your Own Account as its spring promotion and encourages both current and prospective customers to visit any one of their five bank branches to learn more or open an account.
