PulseMarketing.Net, a B2B Internet marketing group, announced today the launching of its Public Company Connections Program, a comprehensive solution to help public companies reach retail investors and improve the effectiveness of the sales process.

The Public Company Connections Program increases a public company’s Internet connections with target markets to increase exposure and sales. The program first determines the marketability of a public company’s website using a Pulse Score or “pScore.” The pScore is a summary of several marketing factors based on a company’s ability to market in Google, the world’s largest and most successful search engine. Key factors are how many pages a website has indexed in Google as well as the quality and quantity of a website's backlinks recognized by Google™. Companies request a pScore online. Each pScore is calculated individually for accuracy.

CEO Mark Jensen said the pScore is the foundation for the Public Company Connections Program. “The pScore tells us the strengths and weaknesses of the public company’s website. We use Google™ because it has the largest market share in search engines which are used by 85% of Internet users. We focus marketing efforts on connecting the website to targeted markets and driving connections with investors and customers.”

Jensen said services offered for the Public Company Connections Program are based on website development, linking, paid advertising and monetizing. “The Public Company Connections Program recognizes public companies serve two masters – investors and customers. The public company has to promote the company and its products unlike private firms where the product receives the attention,” Jensen said.

PulseMarketing.net recently completed a survey of 300 public companies from different stock exchanges including the New York Stock Exchange, NASDAQ, the OTC:Bulletin Board and the Pink Sheets. Jensen said only 20% of the public companies surveyed scored well on the Pulse Score. “More than half of the public companies flunked the pScore.
About 150 of the public companies are operating websites will little or no marketing. They aren’t using the website to reach retail investors or to target markets for sales,” Jensen said.
