Stanley has been with The Ivins Group for 10 months as an account manager, following his graduation from Yale University in May 2007. Stanley has helped boost The Ivins Group consumer sales well over the million dollar mark, as well as being a chief player in the marketing of their many clients and the growth of their firm. He has had many significant achievements, including the help of spear-heading numerous accounts, as well as being a constant fixture on the company’s top 10 account management list. With The Ivins Group, as well as many other businesses, ownership is a key to the success of any business venture, and with the momentum that Stan has created for himself, ownership is a mere 2 or 3 months away.
When we asked Stan where his motivation and hard work was derived from he replied, “My mentor Rob Jessup [owner of The Ivins Group] has extensive prior experience and success in this business, and teaching and training other individuals; each of these is a key ingredient to being successful for the long haul and for assisting others success as well.” He went on to say “Rob has instilled an enormous amount of knowledge in me, and has given me the ability to grow by allowing me to make certain mistakes, and coaching me every step of the way. When I started there was no seniority or politics and the company also had a very cohesive team environment that they took great pride in, which was an enormous motivator for me.”
The Ivins Group follows a philosophy of 100% promotion from within. Various companies boast this but The Ivins Group follows it. Every person in their organization starts off at the same position regardless of degrees or experience. Their philosophy is: “If you haven’t done it, you can’t teach it.” Many companies are adversely affected by the economy. The Ivins Group however has never had a quarter where they haven’t grown nor have they ever been forced into layoffs. When the economy is slow their clients are looking for a successful but also cost-effective advertising approach that will immediately guarantee new customers. When the economy is booming their clients are expanding on a national scale. As their client base expands, the need for new managers becomes necessary. Associates are promoted through their program based on three factors: work ethic, ability to manage people and clients, and aptitude for learning.
The Ivins Group congratulates Stan, and looks forward to a prosperous future with him.
