The event was hosted by The Weather Channelís marketing and licensing management. All of the Summitís licensees and speakers attend by invitation only.

Mr. Mininni was invited to give a presentation and to participate in a panel discussion concerning the positioning, branding and packaging of licensed products in todayís ultra-competitive, fast-changing retail environments. His insights were particularly sought out due to his expertise cited in recent articles and interviews that have appeared in the trade and general business press.

Of particular interest to The Weather Channel and its licensing partners were Mr. Mininniís grasp of leveraging the emotive qualities of brands in packaging, as well specific lifestyle cues that speak to todayís consumer. In his presentation, Mr. Mininni discussed the collaborative role of licensors and licensees. He also discussed the intricacies of positioning co-branded and licensed products that must meet the needs of Wal-Mart, Target and The Home Depot among the other dominant retailers where The Weather Channel has distribution for its licensed products.
