Successful individuals in all fields are turning their back on the traditional routine of "quitting smoking", "losing weight" and "eating less chocolates", and instead are taking a holistic approach to personal development.
The most popular choice for the new generation of "high achievers" is Life Coaching in its various forms - personal, business, executive, career, even image. You name it, there's a coach for it!
New results gathered by Changemechanics Ltd suggest that the more successful a person is the more likely that she or he will request expert help. In the last few years they have noted that more and more people searching through their website and training resources fall into what most of us would consider to be a high income earnings bracket.
As company director Mike Legge says:

The good news is that the rest of us can learn from these high achievers. Although life coaching can involve a large commitment in terms of money and time, the results can be immensely impressive. And in the age of free information on the internet it doesn't take long to start finding free resources and practical tools to get you started.
Mike Legge offers three tips that will give anyone a good start in their own personal development plan.
1. Forget all or nothing "New Year Resolutions". Simply decide on how good you feel about your own life and your personal and business results and give yourself a mark out of ten. Then resolve to feel one or two points better by this time next year.
2. Start to map out exactly where you are at the moment. For instance, what are the positives in your life that you wish to consolidate or build upon? What are the areas you wish to improve, for instance health, earnings, relationships etc? Get a really clear idea of where you are.
3. Start to put it all together in terms of an action plan. What are you going to do and what results are you aiming for? These are the two most important questions you will need to address.
And as Mike says, "You will not achieve everything. Don't put so much pressure on yourself. That's what the old style New Year Resolution was all about and it's no surprise how often and how quickly people used to fail."
