Based on its analysis of the sensors market, Frost & Sullivan recognizes Augusta Systems, Inc. with the 2008 Global Sensors Emerging Company of The Year Award for developing solutions to overcome one of the biggest challenges facing the industry – that of effective utilization of data from different sources, including sensors, actuators, RFID systems, imagery devices and other edge assets.

EdgeFrontier is powerful, easily configurable middleware for building and managing intelligent networks, systems and applications. It eliminates the need for separate middleware applications to handle each device in a network – a feature that saves enterprises both time needed for software development and money.
SensorPort too can be used to integrate data from different edge assets lying outside of the network. Its ability to improve the reliability and the ease of network management by enabling real-time monitoring and control of sensors and devices on a distributed basis is the greatest advantage this appliance offers.
The flexibility of the company's products are set to aid their adoption across a wide variety of applications. Augusta Systems' products have been used for robust and diverse applications ranging from military battlefield reconnaissance to large-scale public event security to electricity distribution system monitoring and automation.
