ORS Racks Direct, a leading provider of truck and car rack systems for commercial and recreational applications, announced today the arrival and availability for immediate shipment of all 2008 Yakima Racks kayak rack models.
The Yakima BowDown kayak rack improves on j-cradle kayak design for 2008 with fold-down cradle capability when not in use, a feature bringing significant advances as it eliminates overhead clearance issues often found with j-cradle style kayak racks. The Yakima BowDown fold-down position also increases aerodynamics and improves fuel efficiency. The Yakima Bow Down kayak rack is also now compatible with virtually all factory roof rack crossbars and any after-market car rack systems. Optionally locks to roof rack using a pair of Yakima Locks.
The Yakima Mako Aero Saddles are now packaged with universal factory rack adapters included, eliminating the need to use the additional Yakima Universal Mighty Mounts adapters necessary with the regular Yakima Mako saddles version. Yakima mako Aero Saddles can now mount to any factory car rack crossbars out of the box, as well as fitting any after-market roof rack system cross bars. Optionally locks to roof rack using a pair of Yakima Locks.
The Yakima ShowBoat canoe and kayak lift-assist is a major new innovation in canoe and kayak lift assistance systems. Compatible with any roof rack crossbars including factory racks and after-market car rack systems, The Yakima ShoWBoat lift-assist works in combination with any canoe carrier set-up or kayak carrier set-up. Utilizing an easy three step process, the Yakima ShowBoat includes a roller that telescopes out to extend out beyond the rear of the vehicle, allowing the user to then place the canoe or kayak onto the roller and then slide the boat into position onto whatever canoe or kayak carriers are used in combination with the Yakima Show Boat. Simply retract the roller back into its storage position during transport. Includes integrated anti-theft locking hardware.
The Yakima BigStack improves on kayak stacker design (the style of kayak carrier that hauls up to 4 kayaks on their sides) by allowing the Yakima Big Stack upright posts to fold down when not in use, eliminating overhead clearance issues. Yakima Big Stack optionally locks to roof rack using a pair of Yakima Locks.
