Bringing advanced new functionality to its state-of-the-art anatomic pathology platform, Novovision introduces NovoPath v. 6.2 at HIMSS 20008 in Orlando, on last February 24 to 28.
For almost 10 years, NovoPath™ has enabled industry-leading productivity and accuracy in anatomic laboratory management by providing advanced workflow solutions, in addition to electronic (HL7) interfaces that receive physician orders and efficiently return test results to the clinician’s electronic medical record (EMR) or practice management systems.
New in NovoPath v. 6.2 is structured data entry, which speeds information input by intelligently loading the most appropriate diagnostic codes for the procedures being performed. The result is enhanced workflow and consistent coding across patients, reducing the potential of an external audit.
Also debuting in this release is a time-saving batch document scanning module for an efficient, modern paperless environment. Once all hardcopy records - requisitions, copies of insurance cards, referrals and others – are scanned using a NovoPath supported scanner, these documents are automatically attached to the appropriate electronic patient files. They may be immediately viewed online by authorized users with just a few mouse clicks.
