Deacom, Inc. announces that Vista Paint, one of the largest independently owned manufacturers of fine architectural coatings for residential, industrial, and commercial use in the United States, has implemented the DEACOM Point-of-Sale (POS) Software System throughout its 46 retail store locations in California and Nevada.
The DEACOM POS System is an integrated function of the DEACOM Integrated Accounting and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Software System, which manages Vista Paint's lab management and regulatory reporting, accounting, inventory control, purchasing, sales order entry, and production processes at company headquarters in Fullerton, CA. DEACOM POS Software ties retail transactional data, inventory, purchasing, Material Requirements Planning (MRP), and financial postings to the main DEACOM ERP System for both store and corporate reports and financial statements.
The use of one, centralized software system allows Vista Paint to control customer credit, user security, and business processes throughout the company with a single database.
Don Notman, Chief Information Officer at Vista Paint, explains, "With DEACOM managing both our retail and corporate data in one system, we have the enterprise-wide controls necessary to maintain credit restrictions, customer-specific pricing, and secured access at all of our locations from one system. This helps us focus our efforts on developing quality paint and delivering outstanding service, as efficiently as possible."
