True Blue Coffee Roasters, the Old Fields, West Virginia, Organic Fair Trade coffee roaster, announced today a new limited edition Fair Trade Organic Coffee blend to promote awareness of Earthstock 2008, an environmental festival scheduled for April 20, 2008 at Norton Park in Plainville, CT
The new Fair Trade Organic blend begins a partnership between True Blue Coffee Roasters and the Plainville Conservation Commission to bring awareness to Earthstock 2008 and support charitable donations to eco-friendly organizations in local communities.
Estelle Carenza, Plainville Conservation Commission member and chairperson of Earthstock 2008 said, "The new Earthstock 2008 Fair Trade Organic blend from True Blue Coffee Roasters is a great way to get the word out about what the event is all about, as well as promote organics and sustainability. I'm looking forward to helping enlighten the public about how Fair Trade relates to the event...and it's an honor!"
Mark Murphy, chief marketing officer for True Blue Coffee Roasters said, “Earthstock has been Estelle's passion for 2 years. She has worked tirelessly promoting awareness to how local communities can make a difference to the environment. When she approached True Blue Coffee Roasters about becoming involved in the event, we jumped at the chance. Estelle also graciously reserved a spot on stage for Charothy Hendrick, the area's True Blue sales representative, to be a guest speaker on the impact of Fair Trade.”
The Earthstock events have become a priority for Ms. Carenza. As a new member of the Plainvillle Conservation Commission, she realized the need to promote awareness and education to the local community about environmental damage they unknowingly do as consumers. She founded Earthstock to help promote businesses with eco-friendly values and products.
The previous Earthstock 2007, under Ms. Carenza's guidance, was an overwhelming success and Earthstock 2008 has already outgrown the original location. Her vision is to continue to aggressively grow the annual Earthstock event into a regional Earth Day celebration, possibly a 'New England' Earthstock.
