Triple Diamond Energy Corp. (TDEC) reported today that the Oklahoma Corporation Commission has issued its permit to drill the McClure Diamond #1 well, the first well of the McClure Diamond No. 1 project in Garvin County, Oklahoma. The McClure-Diamond No. 1 project is a four well step-out drilling program at a southeastern extension of the Hoover field.
The construction of the well site is nearing completion in anticipation of an imminent spud date. Mud-logging and additional geological services have been engaged. TDEC has entered into an operating agreement with Explo Oil, Inc. whereby Explo will perform services with respect to drilling, testing and completion of the prospect wells.
Oklahoma ranks fifth in the nation in crude oil production (behind Texas, Alaska, California and Louisiana) and is second in natural gas production (behind Texas). The state produces 3.3 percent of the nation's crude and 8.8 percent of the natural gas in the U.S.

Robert Eugene Jent, 55, has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of TDEC since September 2007. From May 2, 2005 to September 2007, Mr. Jent was employed by a Dallas, Texas based independent oil and gas company where he served as President and Chief Executive Officer (from January 2007 through September 2007) and managed the drilling or operations of over 110 oil and gas wells. He also served as Vice President of Marketing for the same company from May 2005 through December 2006. From September 1989 through April 2005, Mr. Jent was employed by F&E Business Graphics, a Dallas based printing company, where he served as a sales representative and Vice President of sales until such time as he purchased the company in August of 1997. Mr. Jent is a graduate of the University of Colorado where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business.
