ATEN UK Ltd, the leading provider of connectivity solutions, today unveils a special reduced priced MSRP promotion throughout March 2008 for its remote server management solution, CN6000 KVM on the NET™
The price may be reduced, but the functionality remains fully enabled. The CN6000 allows network administrators to remotely access their KVM switches and servers via LAN, WAN, or the Internet, offers RADIUS support, and allows up to 32 users to log in at the same time for concurrent access to a server. With a full-featured Message Board, logged-in users can easily communicate with each other.
Management of the CN6000 is easy via a GUI under MS Windows and provides access to up to 64 user accounts over a web-based management console. The CN6000 supports TCP/IP and HTTP as well as the network standards. For security, the CN6000 works with RSA 1024-bit 10Base-T and 100Base-T encryption for safe and secure data transfer, supports all major encoding standards, and provides filters for IP and Mac addresses. Administrators can also select Stealth Mode or disable Echo Mode to prevent any intruders from using ICMP ping or AP client programs and unlawfully detecting the CN6000 installation.
Outside the server room, the CN6000 allows simple and convenient access and server management from anywhere; whilst inside the server room the switch physically occupies less than one rack unit (0U).
“ATEN’s CN6000 has established itself as the comfortable way to securely manage a number of servers through remote access,” says John Chen, Managing Director, ATEN UK. “So throughout March we have decided to make the CN6000 even more accessible to our UK customers by lowering the MSRP from Ł299.00 to Ł249.00.”
Reduced MSRP Prices available while stocks last throughout the month of March 2008. For more information please contact ATEN U.K. Limited or your local ATEN sales representatives or distributor.
About KVM Switches – An Essential Server Management Device
A KVM (Keyboard, Video and Mouse) switch is an advanced, hardware-based solution that allows centralized access to multiple computers easily and conveniently from a single keyboard, monitor, and mouse. A KVM switch is useful in an extensive range of environments, suitable for SOHO users, small and medium businesses, and large corporations. Fundamentally, a KVM switch allows server rooms and data centers to optimize rack space in the IT environment, reducing costs and the clutter of keyboards, monitors and mice. Additional benefits include savings in energy consumption, server racks, cabinets, and floor space. Since a KVM switch provides access to a number of computers from a central location, IT professionals are no longer running from one server to the next, thereby streamlining workflow and increasing productivity. To meet the ever-developing needs of the globalized economy and the Internet, KVM solutions now have over-IP functionality for remote management capability that better fulfills the demands of corporations who need to manage multiple server rooms worldwide.
