One of the most trusted language service providers online, meeting the translation needs of businesses worldwide, Lingo24 is pleased to announce a most welcome addition to its management team. Starting this month, Madalina Olariu is the company’s new Head of Operations!
Starting out with just a handful of enthusiastic and determined language lovers and professionals who were recruited by founder Christian Arno in the early 2000s, the company now operates in 9 countries around the globe, has a staff of over 60 people and plenty of exciting plans to expand in the near future.
Growth and development are undeniably desirable but do entail greater responsibility and attention to staffing plans and procedures. As a result, Lingo24 is now increasing its team of competent leaders. Madalina Olariu is the new manager of global and local operations, adeptly supervising the activity of all departments, observing the professional potential of new team members and coming up with fast and efficient solutions that support Lingo24 in bringing the best translation services to the web.
A former translator and language teacher, Madalina joined Lingo24 as a Project Manager in 2005, bringing great enthusiasm and dynamism to the young team of language experts. Her constant optimism and drive in proposing bold initiatives for the company’s development were quickly noted and greatly appreciated by the company’s management, who was delighted to offer her a promotion to the position of Head of Operations.
“Lingo24 has undergone an impressive development over the past few years, and because we are now such an extensive team with so many clients relying on us, my position was necessary to coordinate operations”, explains Madalina. “Needless to say, I am delighted with this position; I feel like I belong here and am very happy to be working with such a lively and energetic team”, she adds.
Lingo24 is one of the fastest-growing translation companies in the world, with operations in the UK and seven other countries worldwide. Founded in 2001, the company is a great case study for: e-business (90% of its customers find it through the Internet), globalisation (its business is a barometer of globalisation for British business, and the company itself has 'internationalised' in a short space of time), EU expansion (the company has its largest operation in Timisoara, Romania), green business (the company has a strict environmental policy and limited office use to minimise unnecessary travel), home-working (Lingo24 employees work from home more than 95% of the time), youthful entrepreneurialism (the company was established by a 22-year-old graduate of Oxford University).
