ARTEH – Hotels and Resorts has been strongly betting on the SPA segment in response to the demand of an obviously expanding market. The hotels that offer the best infra-structures at this level are Quinta das Lágrimas in Coimbra, Portugal, Quinta da Casa Branca, Choupana Hills Resort and Spa and Quinta Mirabela, in Madeira, Portugal, Barceló La Bobadilla, in Loja-Granada, Spain, and Le Mont Blanc, in Megève, in the French Alps.
Choupana Hills Resort & Spa
In Funchal, Madeira, atop a hill and in the midst of a luxuriant subtropical garden one will find the luxurious Choupana Hills Resort & Spa.
The contemporary and exotic rooms located in the heart of a luxuriant tropical forest, in bungalow spaces built over pillars and using exotic woods and stone, face the superb view of the Funchal Bay and the Atlantic Ocean.
The cosy and straightforward interior design is harmoniously complemented by varied pieces of art.
This mixture of influences is equally reflected in the exciting fusion cuisine which combines culinary ingredients and traditions from different cultures in order to offer a wide diversity of new flavours one can refrain from discovering.
Besides the peace and tranquillity offered by Choupana, one can also enjoy a vast programme of SPA treatments and take the opportunity to revitalise the body, refresh the mind and awaken all the senses: Seaweed Therapy, Application of Make-up, Aromatherapy, Turkish Baths, Hydro-Aerobics, Hydro-Massage, Jacuzzi, Manicure and Pedicure, Anti-Cellulite Massage, Peelings, heated indoor and outdoor Swimming Pools, Rasul, Sauna, Facial and Body Treatments, and Yoga.
The Choupana Hills was distinguished at the World Travel Awards 2004 with the Portugal’s Leading SPA Resort Award and Europe’s Leading Boutique Hotel Award.
