The awards were announced at a glittering ceremony at the Taj Land Ends, Mumbai on January 22, 2008. The award was received on behalf of the airline by Mr. Choo Poh Leong, Regional Vice President – Sales (India & SAARC), Jet Airways.
The first ever Loyalty Awards was conceived and managed by IndiaTimes Mindscape along with Savile Row (A Forbes Group Venture),based on a rigorous customer research.Consumers were approached with a questionnaire in the major cities of Mumbai,Delhi,Chennai, Bengaluru and Kolkata.The final award winners were determined on the basis of customer responses only.

The first-ever Loyalty Awards were a part of the Loyalty Summit ’08 held on the 22nd and 23rd January,2008 at the Taj Lands End,Mumbai.
