London, United Kingdom, 2008/01/15 - The Leader World, an online magazine for today’s rising innovators in business, politics, social affairs, arts and sports, celebrates its first year in business this month.
One year ago, The Leader World was launched with a small international staff and a handful of contributors. Today, over 25 people are involved with the magazine, which is read in over 30 countries.
In June, The Leader World launched an events division, which kicked off with an ongoing series of seminars. These seminars spotlight the United Kingdom’s most enterprising minds, who share tips and perspectives on how to enhance lives and businesses.
In September, the Website underwent a re-design to streamline the presentation of the magazine and to better promote the events.
“All of this is being done to be closer to our readers and answer their demands,” said Safaa Nhairy, The Leader World founder, publisher and editor-in-chief. Now, magazine readers can become viewers with TLW TV, a video series featuring interviews with industry leaders. TLW TV answers a different need and complements the magazine by offering more interactive information. "Our readers need constant fresh information that will help them improve their lives and careers,” Nhairy said.
The first TLW TV segment, “Making Films,” is an interview with UK filmmaker Clifford Thurlow on how to produce, direct and market movies from script to screen.
The Leader World was launched in January 2007 by Nhairy, 26, a UK-based journalist and media consultant with experience in print and broadcast. Nhairy holds degrees from universities in the United Kingdom and United States. The concept came together in collaboration with fellow business leaders, journalists and Web designers across the globe.
