Fort Collins-based We Pluribus, LLC has been invited to participate in Durkin Entertainment Group’s Main Event Red Carpet Lounge at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah. Event producers spotted We Pluribus products and thought they were a perfect fit for the environmentally and socially conscious nature of the lounge and gifting suite, which offers its celebrity attendees a Day Spa with luxurious massages, interaction with today’s top brands, one-of-a-kind jewelers, Eco-Friendly products, and resident DJ B-Loc spinning tunes.
We Pluribus features a message of unity, tolerance, and environmental and social consciousness through a trendsetting line of organic, fair-trade t-shirts and fleeces. The company sets itself apart with sustainable business practices and corporate giving.
“We started We Pluribus in order to focus on that which unites us, rather than divides us,” said Laura Evans, President of We Pluribus. “Then we decided to get our message out in the most environmentally and socially conscious way possible. We’re thrilled to participate in this kind of invitation-only event, which we have decided means our clothes are officially hip, trendy and cool.”
Clothing designs range from peace symbols to environmental messages to flags, all printed on organic cotton, fair trade garments. The company’s primary office is powered by renewable energy, and the packaging used in shipping is primarily recycled content. In addition, We Pluribus donates 10% of its income to socially and environmentally conscious non-profit organizations, including Fort Collins-based Trees, Water, and People (using renewable energy technologies to improve people's lives and protect their natural resources), Little Kids Rock (providing musical instruments and training to public schoolchildren), and The Center for a New American Dream (encouraging environmentally and socially responsible consumption.)
“We know the time is right for our message and our style,” Evans said. “We’re glad to have the opportunity to reach a broader audience at Sundance.”
