Wordsmiths Books and DeKalb Medical have joined forces to kick the new year into high gear for Atlanta, Decatur and surrounding area residents. The ‘Make ’08 Great’ seminar this Saturday, January 12, 2008 is all about renewing commitment to oneself! The event will feature three nationally renowned authors, Darlene Ford Wofford, Carolyn O’Neil, and Patrice Dickey. They will be presenting methods for realistic goal setting and lifestyle enhancement tips, designed for heightening your ability to ascertain what you want out of life and how to make it happen. The one hour wellness seminar will be followed immediately by a heavy hors d’eourves reception and book signing which will include the featured authors’ books for sale.

Darlene Ford Wofford, aka 'The Spirited Southerner,' author of "Edgewise: An Assignment to Remember." The multi-award winning author, recently named 'Author of the Year' by Books-And-Authors.Net, will share from personal experience how to "embrace life with spirit and keep moving forward.'" She was recently a featured guest on TV Fox 5's Good Day Atlanta, where she discussed the events which led to writing her novel based on true events in her life. Her story is an inspired tribute to the strength of the human spirit, and of triumph over tragedy to recover from wounds life can inflict upon us without warning.
