For almost 50 years, DECO Enterprises has invented, developed and manufactured the world's premier lighting fixtures and components for lighting original equipment manufacturers (OEM). DECO’s diverse product line and service portfolio provides large and mid-market fixture manufacturers with a selection of innovative options to improve profitability and flexibility.

Continuous research and development in this highly specialized field led to the current generation of products developed to meet the needs of today’s energy conscious users while providing the most dependable emergency lighting source available.

DECO Enterprises was founded in 1958 by David Richardson in Anderson, Indiana. In 1976, David Richardson moved the company to California, where the first DECO Enterprises EXIT sign, the E-1, was manufactured in 1982. The E-1 was an innovative EXIT sign and offered a winning combination of visual aesthetics and a longer life than any competitive EXIT sign on the market.

During the next several decades, the company continued to grow and expand into new markets. In 1988 the company created a new subsidiary company called DECO Lighting. In 1990, DECO introduced the ECX-1; weighing only 10 pounds; it was the world's lightest and most flexible combination emergency / EXIT sign.

DECO's new product lines boast many of the products that made DECO great: durable EXIT signs, sturdy lighting and electrical components. DECO is adding to its arsenal a new lineup of emergency lighting fixtures, each built with the quality, reliability and durability that the DECO name has carried for almost 50 years.

Since its beginning, DECO (getdeco.com) has lead the way in design, engineering, customer service and marketing. Today, DECO has accelerated its long-standing heritage and commitment to leadership in commercial industries. Investing in the future while also staying true to its proud heritage, DECO is committed to providing innovative, quality products that offer a discernible value to the end-user.
