Rapid Recovery, a refrigerant abatement company servicing the continental United States, recently completed a refrigerant recovery project at the Marine Corp Logistics Base (MCLB) in Barstow, CA. for Maximum Demolition.
The Base needed to demolish 56 older base housing units which also required the abatement of the refrigerant from the air conditioning units. Rapid Recovery completed the refrigerant abatement of 60 a/c units containing a total of just over 1000 lbs of refrigerant 22. Each unit was tagged with a bright orange sticker so that it could be easily identified as “refrigerant recovered”. The proper EPA documentation was provided to Maximum Demolition should any questions arise.
