“Our goal is to change the music industry with the 10 Million Dollar Indie Billboard. We promote quality music and new artists, allowing people to hear the best in Independent music first before groups become main-stream. Our marketing will give bands all access to promotions to millions of fans of independent music.” said Aaron Beegle, Co-founder of the 10 Million Dollar Indie Billboard. “This compilation CD will be similar to ‘Now 20’ or Myspace Records in the fact that it will promote multiple bands and genres of music. For our sponsors, we provide a revenue share in CD sales along with co-brand advertising campaigns for 5 years. The investment in our Billboard will also allow users to bid on taken spots via eBay giving advertisers an additional stream of revenue. The reason for the launch of the 10 Million Dollar Indie Billboard is to provide Independent recording artists with the same distribution, marketing and TV placement that major record labels provide.”

10 Million Dollar Indie Billboard is an online pixel advertising website similar to the Million Dollar Homepage where Alex Tew raised 1 million dollars to pay for his university fees. Launched in December 2005, this “billboard” allows businesses to advertise their website with a direct link allowing them to get traffic for a five year period. Advertisers who purchase pixel space on the 10 Million Dollar Indie Billboard can also opt in to sell their pixels via EBay auctions. The top advertiser will be given 2% of proceeds of CD sales. The purpose of the billboard is to promote independent bands by raising funds to distribute and advertise a compilation CD. Proceeds from the CD sales will also be donated to charities.
