Kiev, Ukraine, 12/04/2007 - As of 2007 the Bank's volume of transactions in securities sale and purchase (commercial activities) totaled over UAH 5,590 million (over 600 performed agreements).

Ukrgasbank operated with corporate bonds, whose volume of transactions amounted to over UAH 4,300 million (76.5% of the total volume), most actively. The volume of transactions with government securities amounted to UAH916 million (16.4% of the total volume). About 7% of the Bank's total volume of transactions in securities sale and purchase is the share of other securities, among which are local bonds, investment and savings certificates and shares.
The Bank always holds the leading positions in the ratings of securities traders issued by PFTS and is a leader of this market.
Ukrgasbank's security portfolio is over UAH 405 million, among which are:
- shares and stake - 5%;
- corporate bonds - 94.998%;
- government bonds - 0.002%.
During the year the Bank was actively issuing and placing its own bonds in the market. In the first quarter 2007 Ukrgasbank was the first in Ukraine to place an issue of mortgage bonds for the amount of UAH50 million at nominal value. Additionally, an issue of series C interest-bearing bonds of Ukrgasbank for the amount of UAH300 million (private placement, placement of the issue completed); series D for the amount of UAH100 million (public placement, placement in progress), series E for the amount of UAH100 (public placement, the placement is due December 25, 2007) were registered.
So, for three quarters of this year the Bank has registered the issues of own bonds for the amount of UAH 550 million, out of which the bonds for the amount of UAH350 million have been placed at nominal value.
Commenting over the above indicators, Yuri Kamenetsky, the Director of Investment Activity Department, has mentioned: "During the year the Bank continued its active operation on the stock market and this particularly concerns dealer activity and underwriting.
As of November the Bank launched an active promotion campaign of its new product - "National Broker", including a complex of brokerage services on the securities market for the general public".
