Oak Brook, IL, United States, 2007/11/15 - The National AMS Users’ Group (NAUG) 12th Annual Conference headed south for 2007. The underlying theme of this technology conference was “Better Together”.
The conference was held in the Atlanta-Buckhead area. From October 25-27, the group took over the Doubletree Hotel in Atlanta, Georgia to discuss Q® and other gomembers’ association management solutions. The underlying theme of this technology conference was “Better Together.”
On Thursday morning, the day started off with a free 4-hour pre-conference session designed to increase your knowledge (Increase you Q-IQ) of the current Q AMS. The conference itself kicked off with lunch with a welcome by the NAUG President. gomembers provided a product update, including information on Q and Great Plains. Next customers had the opportunity to shape the future of Q with an ideas session. The afternoon ended with a presentation and a Q & A Session by Paul Plaia, III, gomembers’ President and CEO. The evening was capped off with dinner and live entertainment.
Friday was a full conference day of breakout sessions. The topics covered data entry, reporting/data mining, membership, meetings/exhibits, and commerce transactions. In addition, there was a special session covering how to prepare for a Q migration – presented by current Q customers. It was a good opportunity to ask questions.
The last day of the conference focused on test plans development and website usability. A post-conference self-guided tour was scheduled for the Georgia Aquarium, the world’s largest and most engaging aquarium. It was a chance for attendees to network some more while seeing one of Atlanta’s most treasured sites.
The networking potential was tremendous. Attendees used the opportunity to talk to other enterprise users and meet with gomembers’ staff. It was a great opportunity to collaborate with association peers, as well as take advantage of all the rich culture and history of Atlanta.
