The Air Force is demolishing the older base housing and building new base housing that will allow for optimum use of the available land as well as bring military personnel into more modern and energy efficient living spaces.

Rapid Recovery received a call in May of 2007 from All Phase Environmental regarding a project awarded them to demolish 103 duplexes that had been vacated to make way for the aforementioned housing improvements.

Rapid Recovery arrived on site Monday June 4, 2007 to begin the work. After meeting with Marco Nogueira and receiving the security clearance required from Robins AFB Security a quick site walk was done and the work began that afternoon. Rapid Recovery is able to complete jobs like this much faster than traditional contractors that have been used in the past. By utilizing high speed recovery units that operate on gasoline there is no need to lug around generators, power cords and other bulky items that are cumbersome at best to deal with. With the demolition to begin in just a few days it was imperative that the 207 split a/c units be recovered quickly so that the other work would not be held up. It was also necessary for Marco of All Phase to know which units had been completed. This turned out to be easier than Marco expected when he realized that Rapid Recovery was placing a bright orange sticker on each unit that had been recovered. It was as simple as driving by the duplexes and looking for the orange sticker on the a/c units, which was easy to spot.
