UpSNAP, Inc., the premier provider of free mobile search and streaming mobile audio entertainment and go2 Media™, a company focused on the growing user demand for more localized, personalized mobile content, today announced a partnership to further integrate UpSNAP’s vast audio services into the go2 mobile portal for the benefit of go2’s base audience of millions of U.S. mobile consumers.
UpSNAP and go2 Media are partnering to deliver go2 users an integrated WAP/audio service of select audio content across virtually all wireless carriers in the U.S. The initial offering utilizes go2’s one-touch calling feature to provide mobile users with quick access to audio recordings of current sports stories, scores and news. The recordings are updated several times a day.
“Teaming up with go2 Media enables UpSNAP to broaden the reach of its vast range of audio content with distribution through many carriers,” said Tony Philipp, chairman and CEO of UpSNAP, the largest wireless radio network in the nation. “This is just another way UpSNAP is making it easier for mobile users to have access to many different types of rich media content while on-the-go.”
The expanded service will be easy to reach on go2 with any web-enabled cell phone, PDA or pager. The audio service is expected to be available to mobile users by the end of December, and will include a variety of timely, fun and interesting audio clips that cover sports, music, news and entertainment.
