Award-winning interactive designers Jam3media, who recently unveiled their acclaimed ChipShuffle effect to the Flash community – currently demonstrated to visitors on their home and product pages, and as a re-tiled Tetris game – are proud to announce that Aaron Morris has accepted a position with their growing in-house development team. “He jumped in and enabled us to complete the Total Drama Island games for Teletoon ahead of schedule,” says Adrian Belina, Jam3Media co-founder.
“But we’re still looking for a few more great people,” he continues. ”In the short-term we can easily manage an outsourced squad of talent as required. This is really good timing actually, because these days more of our clients are asking for AS3 programming, Flash Media Server and the use of Papervision3D. So it’s paying us to be innovative and we're going to have some really clever stuff to showcase in the new year.”
In addition to the group of original Flash games provided for Teletoon, Jam3 also delivered a fun avatar creator and a mini store for the Total Drama Island site. The team is nearing completion of a project being developed for a television show premiering in January that will feature a very unique story-driven and immersive game play. “Our guys are inspired and have really outdone themselves,” Belina adds. “The results from live testing were extremely encouraging. It’ll truly satisfy gaming and television audiences alike and we’re preparing for a fantastic reaction from the entertainment industry.”
Co-founded as a collaborative media studio by Belina, Mark McQuillan and Pablo Vio four years ago, Jam3media has acquired an impressive roster of internationally-known clients by consistently delivering quality and constantly innovating on their behalf. The team is aggressively delivering new and exciting products, expecting to double sales each quarter over the next year, as highly-anticipated software and technologies are adopted by the integrated broadcast industries as effective and efficient communications tools.
“We created our own font generator to tile those letters, including the Tetris game, “Belina concludes. “It involved solving some tricky dynamic image generation issues with PHP to keep our site incredibly optimized at 100kb, even with the reflection class.”
Since its introduction, Flash has become popular for adding animation and interactivity to web pages; several software products, systems, and devices are used to create or display Flash. In this specialized environment, Jam3media creates animation, advertisements and various web-page components, which can integrate video into web pages and develop rich Internet applications, such as alternate reality games.
