Jonathan Nicholas, Obeo senior vice president of sales and marketing, will be installed as the 2008 Council President for the Council of Real Estate Brokerage Managers (CRB) during the 2007 REALTORS® Conference and Expo Nov. 13–16 in the Venetian Resort Hotel Casino in Las Vegas.
The theme for this year’s event is “No Limits,” giving attendees the chance to network with thousands of real estate professionals from around the world, explore more than 700 exhibitors and gain valuable insights on leadership and marketing from a host of experts. There will also be featured speakers and entertainers such as Bill Cosby, Lou Holtz and James Taylor.
CRB Day will take place during the Conference on Thursday, Nov. 15, with sessions on real estate companies and learning leadership skills held in the hotel’s Sands Convention Center.
The Council will have its inauguration ceremony for Nicholas along with a cocktail reception and dinner on Tuesday night, Nov. 13. Along with Nicholas, Harley Rouda Sr. will be honored as the Council’s 2007 Hall of Leaders Award recipient.
A much sought after speaker, industry strategist and futurist for his trade, Nicholas also serves the National Association of REALTORS on various committees ranging from public policy to business issues.
Prior to joining Obeo, Nicholas previously served for more than seven years as the regional director for RE/MAX of Indiana, overseeing the day-to-day operations of more than 100 franchised offices and 1,800 sales associates. With his leadership, the organization grew to the top market share position in the state by producing more than $4.5 billion in volume and exceeding 36,000 transactions annually.
