Fort Collins-based We Pluribus, LLC is proud to announce the launch of its new website, wepluribus.com, featuring the company’s message of unity, tolerance, and environmental and social consciousness through a trendsetting line of organic, fair-trade t-shirts and fleeces. The company sets itself apart with sustainable business practices and corporate giving.
“The political climate in the US has been so divisive lately. We started We Pluribus in order to focus on that which unites us, rather than divides us,” said Laura Evans, President of We Pluribus. “Then we decided to get our message out in the most environmentally and socially conscious way possible. Our messages are meaningful, but as my teenager tells me, it’s also important that our shirts and hoodies are ‘way cool.’”
Clothing designs range from peace symbols to environmental messages to flags, all printed on organic cotton, fair trade garments. The company’s primary office is powered by renewable energy, and the packaging used in shipping has 90% recycled content. In addition, We Pluribus is donating 10% of its income to socially and environmentally conscious non-profit organizations, including Fort Collins-based Trees, Water, and People (using renewable energy technologies to improve people's lives and protect their natural resources), Little Kids Rock (providing musical instruments and training to public schoolchildren), and The Center for a New American Dream (encouraging environmentally and socially responsible consumption.)
The company’s slogan is, “We the people. No exceptions.” This reflects the company’s message of unity, acceptance and respect for one another. “We believe the time is right for a company like this,” Evans said. “With a Presidential campaign season underway and a great deal of unrest in the world, the more positive messages we can put out there, the better!”
