Nilit®, a global manufacturer and leader in the production of nylon 6.6, will soon announce the opening of its new Nilit Nylon Technologies facility in Suzhou, China which will begin production in March, 2008. As part of its long term commitment to the region, Nilit has selected the Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics Show as the showcase for its most recent fiber innovations. The show will be held at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre from October 29th through November 1st 2007. Nilit will be housed in Hall E4, Stand D36.
“The Chinese manufacturing market is a critical growth region for Nilit,” says Molly Kremidas, Nilit’s sales and marketing manager. “The demand for our high quality yarns in this region has grown considerably over recent years. Our new facility in Suzhou will allow us to meet that customer demand from within the country as well as to expand our presence in this important market.”
Nilit’s branded yarns are in high demand in the intimate apparel, bodywear, legwear, and activewear industries which manufacture a substantial percentage of their goods in China. While Nilit has serviced the Chinese market for years from its other global operations, their new Suzhou facility will permit them to supply their products from within the country, thus decreasing response time and increasing customers’ access to Nilit’s local technical service.
“We are excited to establish a permanent position within China,” says Kremidas. “At the Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics Show we will share with the Chinese market our latest yarn innovations including NILIT AQUARIUS moisture management nylon and NILIT BREEZE cooling effect nylon.”
In addition to these new product introductions, Nilit will also present its 2008/2009 trends for intimate apparel and active sportswear. Nilit is the only fiber maker to provide an original, proprietary trend service to its customers. Nilit will also feature at the show its other well-known fiber products for the seamless, circular knit, and woven wear markets.
