Lagoon Power 44
The Lagoon Power 44 will be shown to the public for the first time. Based on the well-designed hull and deck of the Lagoon Power 43 and its proven success in the US market, the new Lagoon Power 44 is sure to convince many more power boat aficionados of the undeniable advantages of cruising a power catamaran.
Lagoon has poured numerous innovative features into this design such as an expanded flybridge area, redesigned helm stations on the flybridge and inside, luxurious master stateroom with king-sized bed and separate shower and head compartments, spacious sunbathing areas, forward and aft cockpits, an 18-20 knots cruising speed coupled with impressive fuel economy, stability and simplicity.
Improvements to the Flybridge
The additional flybridge space will provide a more convival atmosphere - in addition to the three individual seats at the steering station, the flybridge will offer a table that can seat up to six people, as well as four sunbathing pads. For safety at sea, the flybridge access can be closed.
Amongst The Equipment
At the helm station you can expect a new instrument console capable of displaying 2 x 12" screens in addition to an autopilot remote, normal instrument display and VHF. The upper steering station will also continue to feature two engine panels (tachometer, fuel gauge, alarms), throttle controls, horn switch, windlass remote control switch, buit will add a plexiglass chart holder, drink holders and storage box, while three individual helm seats will replace the current bench seat.
Interior Improvements
The new salon features modified cushions that will provide a more comfortable salon couch. The current free-standing chairs will be replaced by directors' style foldable chairs. The salon table can serve as either a coffee table or large dining table and may also be moved to the cockpit.
The interior steering station is now equipped with a Besenzonie adjustable pilot seat and designed to easily integrate your selection of electronic equipment. The Lagoon Power 44 will be located on the Lagoon Power booth at Hall 3, Stand CD31.
The All-New Lagoon 420
They will also be revealing the scale model of the new Lagoon 420! The first hull of this revolutionary yacht will be ready in the summer of 2006, and will replace the famous Lagoon 410 (of which Lagoon has built over 270!) The Lagoon 420 will be the FIRST production recreational sailing yacht to be built with electric engines as standard. Come and discover the scale model at the Lagoon sailing booth Hall 1, Stand H58.
The new Lagoon 420 design reaffirms the success of their 41 model. Two version's are offered: a charter layout that consists of 4 double cabins with 4 half-island beds, 4 bathrooms with separate showers or a luxurious owner's version offering 3 double cabins and 3 bathrooms on a boat less than 42 feet!
A brief description of the electric engines
• Complete installation comprises of two electric motors connected to propellers by straight shaft transmissions, one generator and two set of 6 batteries.
• When batteries are 100 % charged, the boat will be able to function with both motors for approximately two hours (depending on speed).
• When batteries are 80 % charged, the generator will automatically start and charge the batteries in order to provide electricity for the motors.
• When sailing, propellers will turn freely and recharge the batteries.
