The Global Supply Chain Council, with its affiliate, the China Supply Chain Council, China's leading supply chain professional organization, today announced that Deepak Gupta, Greater China Product Supply Director for Procter & Gamble, will present a key session at 3rd Annual CHaINA Summit '07, taking place on Nov. 7-8 in Shanghai, China.
Gupta will speak on “Designing the Supply Chain for the Future", sharing insights on how, in a highly competitive world of the future, Supply Chains have to be designed to manage multiple dimensions and contradictions.
In this session, Gupta will explain why the days of designing a supply chain that is either low cost or innovative or responsive are gone. 'OR' has now been replaced by 'AND', and how to design supply chains to manage these contradictions.
Deepak led reinvention of P&G's capability-to-serve by creating a peak performing local organization and an agile and low cost supply network that has enabled P&G to reach deep in China; providing P&G an insurmountable competitive advantage. Deepak has over 30 years of International Supply Network and Organization Development experience.
In addition, Xiaotao Wan, Supply Chain Consultant for Bayer Technology Services, Henrik Anker Olesen, Transport and Logistics Leader, Asia Pacific at IBM Global Services, will join other senior executives in a special track on "Supply Chain" at CHaINA '07
Combining conferences, trainings, workshops, exhibition floor and an awards gala dinner, the CHaINA Summit, China's largest and most comprehensive supply chain event, will take place on Nov. 7-8, 2007 at the Regent Hotel in Shanghai.
