North America saw an increase in e-learning from 15.3 per cent of training outputs to 29.1 per cent in 2006. This represented a doubling in the amount of online learning used over a three year period. A similar doubling in online learning was forecast by UK respondents, but the UK started from a much lower base. In 2004, e-learning accounted for just 8.7 per cent of training outputs in the UK. In 2005, this percentage increased to 12.9 per cent and to 16.4 per cent in 2006, with a further increase expected in 2007.
