The University of Texas at Arlington announced today its online Casino Gaming program is now available for immediate enrollment. The program, currently comprised of three courses, is supplied by poker industry’s elite high-roller and founder of Johnny Chan Academy and offered through UT Arlington’s partnership with Gatlin Education Services.
UT Arlington’s new Casino Gaming program is aimed at preparing students for a career in the casino industry’s table games environment by providing direction from 10-time winner of the World Series of Poker, Johnny Chan. Through the use of interactive multimedia and instructional video e-mails, the training program teaches the methods, techniques and mannerisms of professional casino poker, blackjack and baccarat dealers.
The program’s courses, Casino Poker Dealer, Casino Blackjack Dealer and Casino Baccarat Dealer, cover basic fundamentals such as shuffling, handling cheques, limits and betting procedures in today’s most popular card games. Available online, each course is self-paced and accessible anywhere with a computer and Internet connection. Upon successful completion, students will receive job placement and support from the advisors at the Johnny Chan Academy including the opportunity to record a streaming video audition to showcase skills to potential employers.
