Vernier Networks®, developer of the Vernier Threat Lab, recently announced that Mark Loveless has joined the company as a senior security researcher for the Vernier Threat Labs. With more than 20 years experience in security, Loveless, also known as “Simple Nomad” in the security industry, is an expert in uncovering computer threats and exploits. Network security technology is a growing concern for enterprises worldwide.
In his role, Loveless will be responsible for rapidly responding to new security threats and exploits and providing support to the threat labs for future research. This will include monitoring current security industry research and announcements, analyzing security threats and malicious code and providing checks and filters for Vernier Networks’ customers.

Before joining Vernier, Loveless was a senior security analyst at BindView Corp. working on the RAZOR Research Team. Loveless also founded the Nomad Mobile Research Center, an international group of hackers that explore technologies. Earlier in his career, Loveless worked and consulted for large corporations in the Fortune 500, including companies running some of the largest private networks in the world. Loveless has also authored numerous papers, articles and is quoted frequently in print, online and television media outlets regarding computer security and privacy. In addition, he is a sought out lecturer at security conferences and industry events around the globe.
