China produces more than 45 percent of the world’s cell phones and 90 percent of its DVD players. China’s production of in-car electronics is growing by about 28 percent annually.

30,000 engineers pre-registered for cell phone, media player and automotive electronics design websites
Saunderson said: “These are the first design sites in China to focus on these applications. More than 30,000 engineers have pre-registered for site access since September.
“The sites also enable technology companies to reach specific design communities in China, and the influencers in those communities.”
