CHIMERA is located just east of the Rocky Mountains in beautiful Boulder, Colorado. Incorporated in 1980, CHIMERA is the brainchild of a location photographer and a mountaineer. Together these two men developed a quality lighting product (THE LIGHTBANK) to supply photographers with studio quality lighting on location. The company's first product was portable, durable, and revolutionary. Following the company's initial success, more products evolved and enabled CHIMERA to expand into the film and video world.
