In addition to the optimization of plant-wide capacity, MFC will allow DLL to control and optimize raw materials supply, manage customer orders, minimize costs, and maximize throughputs. This implementation will take into account all constraints related to suppliers and customers. Consequently, it will increase the customer satisfaction by reducing lead-times, increasing flexibility, and improving due date performance.
BetaPlanner MT will be efficiently provide the longest program possible and the best sequence campaign for the rolling mill while minimizing stocks, optimizing stock mixes, and with regard to the constraints of thickness, width, and hardness of the slabs. The BetaPlanner MidTerm will also allow building an adequate slabyard in front of the reheating furnaces by extending the horizon of the rolling schedules.

The project started in Q1 2007 is due to go live in November 2007.
