Intense Animation Studio today unveils its newest creative talent: Michael O’Hare. Michael, a Maya Animation Specialist from Ireland will join the Studio’s Training Team.
“Michael is an Animation Specialist and a University Lecturer in Computer Animation and he will add his considerable education experience to our training programs,” said Mr. Tony Sealy, Managing Director, Intense Animation Studio. “His appointment will boost the strength of our training team. We have a well-rounded team of experienced trainers from both professional and academic backgrounds to train our Diploma and Certificate courses.”
Michael O’Hare joins Intense Animation Studio from the University of Applied Sciences in Darmstadt, Germany where he was a Lecturer in Computer Animation.
Michael holds a Masters Degree in Communication Design and a B.A. in Fine Arts. The majority of Michael’s students that have graduated with 1st class Honours have excelled in the field of character animation. The knowledge that they have gained from his courses have given them the ability to produce demo reels and portfolios that reveal a very high standard of professionalism, preparing them for internships and full-time positions in local and international CG production houses, such as Pixomondo and 10tacle Studios.
“Teaching gives me the opportunity to share my knowledge and experience with young and enthusiastic people. I take great satisfaction in helping to produce CG short films. I feel that the students should be given every bit of information that they need within their short term of study to succeed as professionals in the ever-developing CG industry. Michael’s recent production experience includes; Pre-Production Supervisor of “The Magical Glade”. The production was directed by Jennifer Whitmore and produced by Thorsten Kuttig. Michael was also as a TD and character animator on Sascha Renningers film “The Unnamable”. Michael specializes in character design, production design, modeling, rigging and facial animation.
Tony Sealy, a 20-year professional in broadcast, post-production and animation, leads Intense Animation Studio’s training team. Tony's work has won him several awards throughout the region including Promax Gold for Best Promotional Campaign (2000).
Intense has recruited widely both from within the region and also from Canada, Indonesia and Ireland to find the right mix of creative and technical talent to deliver top-notch training to its students.
